1. Information We Collect
S.EE requires users to register an account to use the service. We do not collect or store IP addresses for tracking purposes.
For link analytics, we collect and process the following data associated with each visit:
- Browser user agent
- Referrer URL
- Timestamp of access
- Country/region (derived from the request, not stored as an IP address)
No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected through analytics.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide link statistics to the link owner
- Improve service performance and reliability
- Investigate abuse, spam, and security incidents
- Comply with legal requirements when necessary
We do not sell, rent, or trade user information.
3. Third-Party Services
- Analytics: We use a self-hosted instance of Plausible Analytics.
- Payments: We use Stripe to process payments. Users on Premium plans and above may request bank transfer payment instead.
When completing purchases through Stripe, we may share billing information strictly as required for fraud prevention and regulatory compliance.
4. Data Storage and Location
All user and analytics data are stored in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
We do not use multi-region replication outside the EU.
5. Account & Data Deletion
Users may:
- Delete their account
- Delete links and resources they have created
Analytics data are deleted automatically when the associated resource is deleted. Historical analytics without a link reference cannot be deleted individually.
6. Data Sharing
We will not share user data with any third party unless:
- Required by a valid court order, subpoena, or applicable law
- Required by Stripe (or bank transfer processors) for billing verification
We do not share user data for marketing or commercial purposes.
7. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including access control, encryption in transit and at rest, and continuous abuse monitoring.
However, no internet service can guarantee 100% security, and users are responsible for protecting their account credentials.
8. Children's Privacy
S.EE is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect or store information from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the “Last Updated” date will be modified. Continued use of the service after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
